"I met Allen at his home in Arizona. I flew all the way out from New York City in order to meet the man who invented making didgeridoos out of the Agave cactus stock. I had played an agave didge before; however, at the time I only owned bamboo didges. Needless to say, I was very excited to try out Allen's dreamtime pipes.
Allen welcomed me warmly and shared some nice stories about the beginnings of the didgeridoo in the United States and how he came to make didges out of agave. He also shared some experiences about his professional didge player friends and what life is like as a didge professional.
I played all his didges and found each one of them unique and beautiful. They all had very rich sounds and many had beautiful designs. All of Allen's didges are very unique and beautifully crafted with lots of attention and love. I eventually chose one in C# and my didge playing immediately elevated to the next level.
